Corporate Realty, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate company, today announced that it has acquired Cypress Property Management, LLC, a property management, leasing, and brokerage company based in LaPlace, Louisiana.
Cypress Property Management was formed in 1996 under the leadership of Henry W. “Hank” Tatje, III, the company’s qualifying broker. It specializes in providing commercial real estate services throughout the River Parishes region, as well as Houma and the Greater New Orleans area. Tatje, who has an extensive background in commercial appraising, as well as Lauren Tatje Marmande and Beth Brady Hitt, will now be a part of the Corporate Realty team.
“We are thrilled to have Hank and his team join Corporate Realty,” said Michael J. Siegel, SIOR, president of Corporate Realty. “There is no more respected nor knowledgeable real estate professional in the state than Hank Tatje. Hank, Lauren, and Beth are great additions to the Corporate Realty and Benson family, and I look forward to working with them and their clients.”
Corporate Realty’s market knowledge, combined with hard work, has led to its involvement in some of the most important real estate transactions, client relationships, and management assignments in this region. These include Corporate Realty’s representations of Tulane University in its recent 336,000 sf lease in Charity Hospital, the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in the planned redevelopment of its 47+ acre site, and the UNO Research and Technology Foundation in the management and leasing of The Beach at UNO, the 600,000-sf multi-building office park on the lakefront. The company’s current retail representation includes Starbucks, Costco, ALDI, Best Buy, Michaels, TJ Maxx, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart, and the rollout of the international supermarket chain ALDI.
For Corporate Realty, this acquisition is the evolution of a long-standing, well-respected relationship between the two companies. This expands the property and investment options for both of our clients and will result in offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and LaPlace. The combined new team will consist of 22 full-time agents adept at leasing and brokerage solutions, supported by knowledge in property valuations.
For Cypress, this acquisition provides an increased opportunity for growth. The office will remain based in LaPlace, providing a convenient connection point to other areas of the state.
“We are honored and very excited to become a part of Corporate Realty and the Benson Companies,” Tatje said. “This is a unique opportunity for us to enhance and expand the level of services we offer our clients, and to ensure that they have long term stability with a growing full service real estate firm.”
