A catering company has found a permanent business location with the assistance of an experienced agent.

Black Pearl Catering Co. has begun operating from 8132 Hampson St. This catering company specializes in wedding, social, and corporate events and was started in 2017 by partners Walker Geoffray and Katie Morris, who combined have twenty years of private event experience.

The company had been growing to include a talented support staff, so Geoffray and Katie needed a larger property from which the business could operate. Despite searching for some time, they had difficulties in finding the right kind of space.

They contacted Andrea A. Huseman, CCIM, for assistance, at the recommendation of Nina Gensler at Latter & Blum. Andrea listened to their list of requirements, including that, ultimately, they would like to locate the business in their neighborhood. She then used her knowledge of the current commercial real estate market and property owners to help them find and negotiate the purchase of a 1,450-sf space that was previously the restaurant Carrollton Market. Additionally, she was able to assist them with finding consultants to review the property and obtain a closing attorney.
