Corporate Realty was selected by Alembic Community Development to manage their new 65,000-square-foot Myrtle Banks project on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Jack & Jake’s, a New Orleans-based food market dedicated to serving affordable fresh food will occupy 23,000-square-feet on the first two floors of the property. The third floor will have 9,300-square-feet of office space reserved for nonprofit groups and small businesses involved in the creative industries. There will also be 10,000-square-feet of space for seating and open-air market outside. Construction began in June 2013 and Jack & Jake’s is expected to open in October. On Monday, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune reported that more than 100 people gathered inside the 112-year-old Central City structure Monday (June 23) to celebrate the installation of the final bracket on the roof.
