Donna Whalen Little has been elected as Chair of the Advisory Board for City Year New Orleans. This  appointment is for two years. 

City Year began in Boston more than three decades ago, and today it can be found in 29 cities across the United States. The AmeriCorps program provides a year of service for high school graduates. During this time, the program participants serve as student success coaches in schools where they can build on their strengths and cultivate social, emotional and academic skills for students in under-served areas. City Year New Orleans has been in existence since Hurricane Katrina. 

Donna has served on the board since 2013. She has been instrumental in fundraising events on behalf of the organization, and in 2021, she introduced a Board Bake Off cultivation event.
