Smoothie King is moving their headquarters from Covington to the Lakeway Building in Metairie.  The company, which was originally founded in Jefferson Parish, explored a variety of possible relocation options before deciding to stay in Louisiana. The company is planning to increase the current number of franchise locations substantially, adding more than 1,000 new units in the next five years to the current total of more than 600 worldwide.
