Vintage Garden Kitchen is finishing the build out of their new cafe in the food court at Place St. Charles, which they hope to open later in January. The restaurant will serve soups, salads, wraps and fresh bread, and eventually breakfast. Vintage Garden Kitchen joins seven other food court operations plus Koboshi Restaurant, Smoothie King and Terrazu Café that offer a great range of breakfast and lunch options to the workers of Place St. Charles and the CBD.
The Vintage Garden Kitchen is a part of Arc Enterprises, a program of Arc of New Orleans that creates jobs and builds independence for people with mental disabilities. The group prepares two dozen seasonal soups and other foods throughout the year, often using produce harvested from the group’s own gardens or sourced from farmers markets. Vintage Garden Kitchen delivers soups on Wednesdays to addresses from Metairie to Uptown and Lakeview and also sells soups and salads, plus produce and flowers from its gardens, at the Tuesday and Thursday editions of the Crescent City Farmers Markets.
