Sydney Anderson is an agent with a focus in French Quarter properties.
Prior to returning to Corporate Realty, Sydney was the founder and CEO of Sydney Anderson Realty, which had long been a valued partner for Corporate Realty when it came to needs and issues in the French Quarter. She began her commercial real estate career in New Orleans in 1992 with the start of her own company, Anderson Architectural Properties, which focused on first leasing, then selling, condos and historic homes, before moving into commercial real estate.
Sydney was a leasing specialist on Corporate Realty’s retail team for 15 years; she placed leading national retail, restaurant, and specialty tenants in properties throughout Louisiana. Focusing on representing landlords and tenants in New Orleans’s French Quarter, Central Business District, and Warehouse District, Sydney sold notable properties such as the famous Jax Brewery Millhouse, 833 Decatur, and 214 Decatur. In addition to negotiating sales and leases in the French Quarter, which generates the city’s highest retail rents, Sydney also served as the landlord representative for Jax Brewery Millhouse, NY Life, Lennar Properties, The Berger Companies, and various REITs (Real Estate Investment Trust).
Having cultivated a French Quarter niche and experience, in 2012 Sydney launched Sydney Anderson Realty (SA Realty), which grew into a full-service boutique real estate company that represented developers, investors, sellers, buyers, landlords, and tenants throughout all the city’s historic neighborhoods. Sydney has focused on the Quarter for more than 25 years and is relied upon for her knowledge; the State of Louisiana twice hired Sydney to provide a broker’s opinions of value on its French Quarter properties.
A New Orleans native, Sydney graduated from The University of Texas and Parsons School of Design. She serves currently as a Board Member of the Vieux Carré Commission Foundation, where she is also a former President.
