Mike Siegel Named to Young Leadership Council’s (YLC) 2015 Class of Role Models

Mike Siegel Mike Siegel, President and Director of Office Leasing of Corporate Realty, was named to Young Leadership Council’s (YLC) 2015 Class of Role Models. Annually since 1986, YLC has selected 25 New Orleanians who distinguish themselves as Role Models by actively contributing to the betterment of the Greater New Orleans region and by serving as an example to YLC’s young professional members and also to the community at large. Each year’s class of 25 honorees is selected by a committee including members of the YLC Board of Directors and past YLC Role Model Award recipients.

 

With over 30 years of specialization in office leasing and office brokerage, Mike has been instrumental in the growth and maturation of the New Orleans office market. Mike’s major lease negotiations include Tulane University (220,000 sf), Capital One Bank (214,000 sf), Peoples Health (125,000 sf), Capital One Bank (75,000 sf), State of Louisiana (180,000 sf), Entergy (165,000 sf), BellSouth Telecommunications (125,000 sf). Mike’s major investment transactions include the sale of the 1 million sf Place St. Charles office building ($103 million) on behalf of Loeb Partners Realty,  the Galleria in Metairie on behalf of Columbus Properties ($56.5 million), the sale of One American Place in Baton Rouge on behalf of Prudential ($28 million).

 

Mike is also very active in leadership positions in local professional and community organizations. Currently, he is immediate past Chairman of the Board of Metairie Park Country Day School, a member of the Executive Committee of the New Orleans Museum of Art, a member of the Business Council of New Orleans and the River Region, a leadership group made up of only the presidents, CEOs or head of all major businesses in the New Orleans area, and a Board member of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. Mike is also an Emeritus board member and a three time President of the Board of Directors of the Contemporary Arts Center, a former board member of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, the Louisiana Children’s Museum and the NO/AIDS Task Force Advisory Committee. He is also an active participant in various real estate organizations including Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and The Urban Land Institute.
