Helen Siegel
Director, Special Projects
Helen began her professional career in 1981 with Howard Weil Labouisse Friedrichs, Inc., a regional brokerage firm, as a Registered Options Principal. Her duties included the teaching and promotion of option products to both the brokers and their clients. In 1987, she left to help start two new brokerage houses. As Chief Operations Officer for the companies, Helen was responsible for all back office operations, trade executions, registrations, operational procedures, NASD filings, and compliance and regulatory specifications.
In 1991, Helen joined Corporate Realty (formerly Westminster Management Company) as the Special Projects Coordinator. Her responsibilities include property management, financial analysis for property sales and lease transactions, marketing sales packages, and supervision of all support personnel.
Helen is the co-founder and President of Girls First, a 501 (c3) organization dedicated to promoting sport and movement opportunities to inner city girls in the New Orleans area. She is also currently serving on the Board of Directors for NO/AIDS Task Force as Co-Chair and on the Gulf Coast Family Services. Helen has received Gambit’s 40 Under 40 recognition, the Humanitarian Award from NO/AIDS Task Force, the Sweets Art’s Honoree from the Contemporary Arts Center, the Young Leadership Council’s Role Model Award and most recently was named to CityBusiness’ Women of the Year (Class 2011).
Helen, a native of Selma, Alabama, is a graduate of Loyola University with a degree in English and is a licensed real estate agent in both Louisiana and Alabama.
