Corporate Realty Shares Updates, Comfort Food

Mike Siegel, President
Corporate Realty, Inc.

There is currently a lot of talk about the “new normal” during the novel coronavirus pandemic. We at Corporate Realty realize this is a challenging time for everyone and are doing our part to keep events as normal as possible. Our staff continues to provide care and attention to our clients and buildings: Our properties remain operating, and our agents are available both by email and phone. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to discuss further. We are following best practices, adhering to local and national guidelines. Most importantly, we depend upon the constants that are important for providing support during these times, from our families to our communities.

Food is one of those constants. For more than twenty years, Corporate Realty has celebrated great cuisine—and what that brings to us—by sharing recipes.  It is particularly fitting that during this time of staying close to home, we are highlighting our own home-cooked talent. Donna Whalen Little, one of our leasing brokers, is the first to contribute with her favorite crawfish enchiladas that extended neighborly hospitality and provided comfort during another difficult time in her family’s life.

While you are placing your grocery order, we encourage you to check out Corporate Realty’s archive of recipes, both recent and years past. Some of our favorite comfort foods include Commander’s Palace Kir Royale and Cheese Straws and Spiced Pecans, Zatarain’s Bayou Jambalaya, and Clancy’s Lemon Ice Box Pie. Prepare to chop, sauté, and mix your way to a delicious escape.

If cooking isn’t your thing, we hope you can find other ways to spend some time to refresh. Assemble a 5,000-piece jigsaw puzzle or tackle that best seller that has been on your nightstand for months. Organize the garage.  Enjoy virtual cocktails with friends. Support your local restaurants by ordering take-out and open the bottle you were saving for a special night. Find whatever brings you comfort during this time.

We are all in this together—as a company, a team, a community, but most importantly as family. As M.F.K. Fisher once observed, “First we eat, then we do everything else.” So wash your hands: let’s eat, and then tackle the rest.
