Stan Middleton Director, Real Estate Development

Stan has worked in real estate development and project management since 1982. He has participated in the acquisition, sale, leasing, marketing, design, financing, development and the management of commercial and income producing properties. He has also been involved in a variety of development projects ranging from retail centers to the redevelopment of an historic office building in the Central Business District of New Orleans. He brings a full complement of knowledge to any project from its idea inception through the development process to completion.

In 1987, Stan began his own firm specializing in both real estate development and project management. He has developed and consulted on various commercial shopping centers and office properties for such tenants as Walgreen’s, Dollar General, Fleming Foods, Burger King, Firestone, BellSouth, Blockbuster, Taylor Energy, New Orleans Visitor and Convention Bureau and Honeywell to name a few. He is currently concentrating on the development of drugstores for the Walgreen Company in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi as well as Dollar General in Mississippi and Louisiana. Stan also has been involved in the construction management of a variety of projects ranging in size and scope. One such project was a 70,000 square foot office building in Ne Orleans at a cost of approximately $14 million. Presently, he is involved in Slidell, LA as the master developer for the $1 billion, 400 acre, Summit – Fremaux project for the Slidell Development Company, LLC.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Stan graduated with honors from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration from Tulane University. In 1997, he was nominated by Ernst and Young, LLP for “Entrepreneur of the Year” for the development of a retail-franchise concept which he later sold. He is presently a member of various professional and social organizations, and has volunteered his services to help various charitable groups.
