Charles H. Peterson, CRE Executive Vice President & General Manager, Canal Place

Charles has more than 35 years of real estate experience in the South and Southwest. Peterson is responsible for the management of the 650,000 square foot, One Canal Place office tower. He also handles brokerage and consulting assignments for a limited number of selected clients.

A native of Pensacola, Florida, Charles is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and of the Tulane University Graduate School of Business Administration with an MBA.

Prior to joining Corporate Realty in 1991, Charles served as development director-south central region for The Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation. His responsibilities included developing major retail and office properties in Louisiana and Texas, including the New Orleans Center / Dominion Tower mixed-use complex in the New Orleans CBD.

From 1972 to 1984 Charles worked for the Prudential Insurance Company in New Orleans and in Memphis, Tennessee. During his twelve years with Prudential, Charles’ responsibilities included asset management, development and finance functions for major commercial properties.

Charles’ activities have included The Chamber of Commerce, St. Martin’s Episcopal School Board of Trustees, the Downtown Development District (past chairman), the United Way and the Boy Scouts of America.
