Alembic Community Development Celebrates Roof Topping of Myrtle Banks Project

Corporate Realty was selected by Alembic Community Development to manage their new 65,000-square-foot Myrtle Banks project on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. Jack & Jake’s, a New Orleans-based food market dedicated to serving affordable fresh food will occupy 23,000-square-feet on the first two floors of the property. The third floor will have 9,300-square-feet of office space reserved for nonprofit groups and small businesses involved in the creative industries. There will also be 10,000-square-feet of space for seating and open-air market outside. Construction began in June 2013 and Jack & Jake’s is expected to open in October. On Monday, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune reported that more than 100 people gathered inside the 112-year-old Central City structure Monday (June 23) to celebrate the installation of the final bracket on the roof.  Michael Siegel, President of Corporate Realty, said, “We are proud to be selected by Alembic to provide property management services for this transformational project in Central City.”
