Costco has finalized its purchase of a 28-acre site at the intersection of Interstate 12 and Airline Highway that will be home to the retailer’s first Baton Rouge location. Costco plans to open a 150,000-square-foot store on the site of the former Coca-Cola bottling plant in mid-2014. This will be the second Costco in Louisiana; the first on South Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans is set to open on September 21.

Costco was represented by Larry Rabin and Jonathan Fawer of  Corporate Realty, along with Michael Stratis of Intrepid Properties in their search for space and lease negotiations.
